Five standout games from IGN’s Summer Of Games

Today, IGN organized its annual presentation Summer of Games, resulting in an abundance of game trailers covering all genres and tastes. Our fellow editor Wesley LeBlanc and I watched the presentation together and chose a few titles that we look forward to in the future. This list does not include such great games as Gungrave GORE, DNF Duel, Walking Dead or the new addition Aliens: Fireteam Elite, but instead covers games you might not be familiar with yet. Take a look at these great indie games coming to a slot machine near you:

Last working

The Last Worker received a new trailer during today’s IGN Expo broadcast showing off the game’s voice cast. Speaking of this voice actor, today’s trailer showcased a great talent: Jason Isaacs (Lucius Malfoy in the movie Harry Potter ), Zelda Williams (daughter of Robin Williams!), Tommy Earl Jenkins (Die-Hardman in Death Stranding), Claire-Hope Ashiti (Master of Nothing), Olafur Darri Olafsson and David Hewlett. As for what to expect, developer Oiffy describes the game in today’s trailer description as follows:

“Protagonist Kurt needs a break, but he can’t find it in this Last Worker trailer. This narrative adventure explores what happens when humans are replaced by robots in a shipping warehouse in a seedy capitalist environment. »

Last working Coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, and PC (and unspecified VR platforms) later this year.

Pasha Roots

Roots of Pasha was announced last year, but today’s trailer gives us another look at this beautiful Stardew Valley style farming game. It also includes extremely catchy music from the game, and to coincide with that, we got a glimpse of the music beat mini-game in Roots of Pacha. The latest Soda Den game has a Steam demo that you can play right now, and if you redeem the Smiley Code, you will get an exclusive cat hat to use in this game.

Here’s how Roots of Pacha is described in the IGN trailer released today:

Roots of Pacha lets you build, harvest, befriend animals, and help grow your village in solo or co-op. This Roots of Pacha gameplay trailer showcases several new elements that you can experience as you play. »

ship of fools

A new trailer for “Ship of Fools” was released today, showing Fika Productions’ roguelike coming to consoles. In addition, this colorful and chaotic game will feature both online and co-op co-op play. The new trailer also shows off the hectic gameplay, the many shops to visit and the map that will take us through these treacherous waters. Ship of Fools will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch and PC later this year.

Pod Oreza

Beneath Oresa, a new deck-building roguelike game, was born from the desire of Broken Spear Inc. send players on an adventure through the tunnels under the city of Oresa. Each character you lead through the tunnels has different perks that you can use as you try to survive in the wet and dangerous dungeons. A new trailer, shown on the IGN show today, shows the new boss, a beefy, hulking monster with a makeshift spear in hand, attacking a character from the darkness. From below, Oreza looks chic and intriguing. If you also want to try it before the vague release date of 2022, the demo is already available at cook for a couple.

Victim

Not only is this JRPG from the developers of Pixelated Milk fun to watch, but it could also be a great throwback to classic RPG adventures. Pseudo-simulation of the HD-2D style used Square Enix for the past few years SacriFire has had that cool retro style we love to see. It combines real-time combat elements and traditional turn-based action to create what we hope will be an addictive strategic gameplay experience. At the moment, SacriFire doesn’t have an exact release date, but it should arrive on PC this year.
